Our staff not only enjoys outstanding benefits and professional growth opportunities, but also an environment noted for diversity, community involvement, intellectual excitement, artistic pursuits, and natural beauty.  UWMC has an outstanding opportunity for a  CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGIST in the EP Lab, full-time (100%) .  Responsibilities include scrubbing, monitoring and circulating diagnostic and complex electrophysiology (EP) procedures. Case types include diagnostic EP studies, ablations (SVT, AVNRT, Afib, Aflutter, VT) and device implantations.  Responsibilities include: Instructs and prepares patients for cardiac procedures, including patching, prepping and draping. Selects appropriate equipment and supplies to use for procedure. Safely and correctly operates radiographic equipment; currently we have three room with both GE and Philips imaging. Collects hemodynamic data and maintains an accurate procedure log using a variety of equipment, including CardioLab and EPIC. Willing to learn to operate equipment, including CARTO, Precision, Cryo, MicroPace and others. Performs patient care in an environment that optimizes safety and patient comfort. Inputs patient charges, maintains accurate inventory and assists in the evaluation of new products. Participates in the education and competency training of other staff and fellows. Performs quality control testing on a variety of equipment. Signs up for EP Lab ‘late stay’ (there is no “Call” in the EP Lab) in accordance with department policy to ensure some predictability in completing the cases each day. Performs other related duties as assigned.
