RN CATH LAB EAST CAMPUS FT ROTATING AT THE HOSPITALS OF PROVIDENCE

Description:

The RN provides nursing care for patients of all ages, participates in patient and

family teaching before, during, and after invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular

procedures; and care of other patients as required. The RN also assists the

physician in the completion of cardiovascular procedures.



Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.  Documents such as

degree/diploma obtained and/or official or non-official transcripts stating degree

obtained and date of graduation.

Current RN licensure in the state of Texas or compact state.

Must have BLS

Must have ACLS

 

ADVANCED RAD TECH CATH LAB EAST CAMPUS PRN ROTATING AT THE HOSPITALS OF PROVIDENCE

Description:

Administers ionizing radiation. Operates x-ray equipment and takes diagnostic radiographs. Provides patient services utilizing diagnostic imaging modalities. Practices sterile technique when required. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of radiographic techniques, radiation protection, anatomy, positioning, medical terminology and radiographic physics.



Qualifications:

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic technologist (ARRT)Texas Department of Health Certification in Medical Radiologic Technology.  (Licensure within 90 days of employment)

CV TECH CATH LAB EAST CAMPUS FT ROTATING AT THE HOSPITALS OF PROVIDENCE

Description:

The Cardiovascular Technologist in the Cath Lab performs satisfactory procedure in the Cath Lab utilizing ionizing radiation in a safe and appropriate manner. Oversees the entering of patient charges to assure accuracy and timeliness. Deals effectively and pro-actively with physicians. Work collaboratively with other members of the management team for effective patient care.

As the CV Technologist in the Cath Lab acquires expertise in the performance of test procedures, he/she will also accept responsibility and accountability of being in charge in the absence of leadership. 

The CV Tech must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to interact with various ages of clients served in the course and scope of his/her job duties. These age populations may include pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. This position does require direct patient care and interaction with family members. Assessment of the skills necessary to communicate with various age populations is addressed on the corresponding competency assessment.




Qualifications:

Technical or Vocational Training asa Surgical Tech or CV Tech or LVN

(Licensure TX or compact state) program.  If military, then military

equivalent of diploma/certification.

CPR

ACLS within 6 months of hire
