Full-Time Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)

This position is responsible for meeting the needs of the Invasive Cardiovascular Services Department. The technologist will assist the physician as a scrub assistant, procedure circulator, recording technician, and as needed in the Invasive Cardiovascular Services Department or any other area. The technician will engage in learning and assisting in invasive and non-invasive cardiac testing. The technician will develop a working knowledge of all equipment and procedures utilized in the care of the cardiac patient.

Job Requirement

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or G.E.D. BLS/ACLS required. Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Two years previous EP Lab experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of sterile surgical technique, experience required.
  • Experience as a Scrub Assistant for all Electrophysiology Procedures (Diagnostic and Interventional).
  • Experience performing complex Electrophysiology studies utilizing all Electrophysiology specialty equipment including but not limited to 3 D Mapping Systems, Stimulation systems, Ablations Systems, Intracardiac Echocardiography and EP Monitoring and Recording.
  • Current licensure or registry by specialty (RT(R), RCES).

SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated expertise related to Electrophysiology theory and technical skills.
  • Mastery of Sterile technique.
  • Must be able to perform all radiological procedures offered in the Electrophysiology Lab with high regard for patient care and quality.
  • Must be able to function independently in all aspects/roles in the Electrophysiology Lab
