Assistant Manager Ambulatory Care Department, RN – Cardiac Cath Lab

Los Angeles, California

In this role, you will assist in managing a single department or multiple small departments providing ambulatory patient care services by supervising daily operations and patient care activities. You will ensure that the staff provides high quality, accessible, cost effective care and patient focused services to members across the continuum which comply with local, state, and federal requirements. You will also implement and supervise the maintenance of clinical practice standards, budgets, and staff development. In addition, you will assist in integrating services/operations with nursing standards of practice, service priorities and performance/outcome measures, as well as with business, departmental, and organizational goals/objectives.  

Qualifications Include:

• At least two years of experience in ambulatory care or other relevant clinical experience, or at least two years of experience in a leadership capacity,  or completion of Kaiser Permanente Southern California Postgraduate Fellowship in Health Care Administration
•  A graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• A bachelor’s degree or four years of experience in a directly related field with a high school diploma or GED; a master’s degree is preferred  
• A current California RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS and PALS certification
• Clinical specialization in area of practice preferred
• Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, TJC, and other local, state, and federal regulations
• Clinic Management experience preferred
• Experience in a high volume, complex Cath Lab/EP/Interventional Radiology/OR environment preferred
• Structural heart and Peds Cath experience preferred
• An enthusiastic and innovative individual with demonstrated skills on team building preferred
• The ability to demonstrate a strong partnership with physicians, staff, labor, and senior leaders
• The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
