Service Unit Department Manager RN – Cardiac Cath, Interventional Radiology, Interventional Pain

San Jose, California


In this role, you will manage a large unit or multiple units providing ambulatory services. You will ensure that the staff provides high quality, accessible, cost effective care, and patient focused services to members across the continuum, which comply with local, state, and federal requirements. In addition, you will develop and maintain clinical practice standards, budgets, and staff development.

Job Requirement

Qualifications Include:

  • At least five years of nursing experience in management/leadership roles
  • At least five years of supervisory experience
  • At least three years of experience in an outpatient care setting preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree in nursing or health related field or four years of experience in a directly related field with a high school diploma or GED; a master’s degree is preferred
  • A graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • A current California RN license
  • BLS certification
  • PALS, PEARS, and/or ACLS certifications may be required for positions in specific departments
  • Clinical specialization in Cardiac Cath, Interventional Radiology, and/or Interventional Pain preferred
  • Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other local, state, and federal regulations
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
