About the Department and the Manager of Cardiac EP Procedure Labs Position:
Our Electrophysiology labs make up 5 out of the 15 Invasive Cardiovascular Labs. The case load in the EP Labs include:
- Device implants
- Bi-ventricular devices
- Ablations
- Atrial fibrillation
- Epicardial and VT ablations
- SVTs
- Laser lead extractions
- Watchman implants
- Pediatrics
The Manager of Cardiac EP Procedure Labs assists management in the development and implementation of strategic policies and procedures. Serves as a clinical expert and a team leader for all clinical staff in the Invasive lab environment. Uses an integrated approach toward patient outcomes. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice. Serves as a resource, preceptor, and mentor. Demonstrates leadership skills in decision making and problem-solving. Provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families. Incorporates data and information to improve care and enhance outcomes. Assists the physician with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the IHVI designated Labs, including preparation of sterile field, inventory resources, and medication management, including contrast media.

Job Requirement
Requirements:
- 5 years Cath or EP Lab or 5 years interventional radiology experience or equivalent years of experience as a nurse working in a critical care hospital unit and interventional experience.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and /or Graduate of an accredited, school of Cardiovascular Technology or radiology Technology or equivalent education and experience.
- BLS, ACLS
- Registered in one of the following: RCIS, RCES, RTR VI, RTR CV, RTR CI; unless a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. If doesn't possess one of the above registries, must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
