Catholic Medical Center is looking for an EP Lab Tech!
Position Summary:
Assists physicians in diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. Performs delegated duties in support of the Electrophysiology Lab.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the general directions of the Director, Cardiac Diagnostic and Interventional Cath and EP Labs, and the direct supervision of the Manager, Electrophysiology Labs, and within established Catholic Medical Center and departmental policies and procedures, the Certified Electrophysiology Lab Technologist performs the following functions:
1. Stocks rooms daily with supplies and equipment.
2. Unpacks and stores supplies when delivered in appropriate areas.
3. Cleans and wraps instruments.
4. Cleans rooms between cases.
5. Maintains equipment cleanliness.
6. Procures supplies from other areas.
7. Assists nurses with general care of patients and data collection.
8. Transports patients as needed.
9. Puts patients on table and connects them to appropriate equipment for scheduled case. (i.e. R2 Pads, BP cuff, Oxygen tubing, etc.)
10. Assists with set up of case.
11. Prepares and sets up equipment needed for all procedures.
12. Scrubs and assists physician during E.P studies and Ablations.
13. Scrubs and assists physician during Pacemaker and ICD implantations and Laser Lead Extractions.
14. Scrubs and assists physician with Watchman LAA Closure implants.
15. Operates EP Recording system. Operation will include complete understanding of system as related to recording, analysis, documentation, and reporting of all procedures.
16. Operates and understands EP Med stimulator.
17. Operates and understands all Radiofrequency Ablation systems and irrigation pumps
18. Operates and understands analyzers and programmers for pacemakers and ICD’s for Medtronic, St. Jude and Boston Scientific.
19. Operates and understands Ensite Mapping System and Carto 3D Mapping System, Rhythmia Mapping system.
20. Assist in ECG and IEGM interpretation.

3. Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
4. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound.
5. Ability to wear the following safety equipment: safety glasses, gloves, lead aprons.
6. Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
7. Visual acuity sufficient for work that deals largely with machines, where seeing job is at or within arm’s reach.
8. Ability to perform repetitive or routine duties working from detailed instructions and under standard procedures; makes minor decisions.
9. Ability to proceed alone following standard practices for routine procedures; refer questions or problems to supervisor.
10. Ability to endure periods of heavy workload or excessive stress.
11. Ability to work with frequent interruptions and respond appropriately to unexpected situations or problems to supervisor.
12. Ability to communicate with the following populations: Adults age 18 and older.
13. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in assessing treatment and responses and adapting care to meet the need of the patient population served; adult sized adolescent, adult or geriatric.

Licensure/Certification:
· BLS certified. If not BLS certified, must obtain BLS certification prior to completion of orientation, not to exceed 21 days from date of hire with Catholic Medical Center. Must maintain BLS throughout employment.
· ACLS certified. If not ACLS, certified must have the ability to obtain ACLS certification during orientation period and maintain during employment.
· International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiner (IBHRE) eligible or CCI RCES or RCIS certification.
· Current State of New Hampshire Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Licensure
